The year-round youth pathway after camp — a development programme, a competitive programme racing at seasonal, provincial and national regattas, and dryland erg training in the club gym.

Many club alumni have rowed for the Canadian national team — the coaching pedigree is real.

Dryland training runs through the off-season, so it isn't only a summer sport.

Cost: $350 for one day a week or $399 for two, plus about $175 in additional fees

The fee is $399 with additional fees of roughly $175 to $240 depending on the group, and there is a community fundraising commitment you can opt out of by paying full rates.

The serious end of the ladder: a 12-day Temagami canoe trip, Georgian Bay kayaking, moving-water courses at Palmer Rapids, winter camping, and instructor courses with trips as far as the Missinaibi River and Anticosti Island. Math Quest — math camp for girls (day or overnight)

Queen's Math Quest · Coding & robotics · Camp · ages 13–15 · Queen's University campus, Kingston

starts August 10, 2026.

A week of hands-on mathematics for girls entering Grade 9, led by mathematicians, statisticians and physicists at Queen's. You can choose the overnight version with five nights in residence, or come as a day camper. The 2026 season has finished. Next summer's dates and registration haven't been posted yet.

Math Quest 2026 ran August 10-14, with both an overnight residential option and a commuter day-camp option.

Campers must be entering Grade 9 or returning to high school in September.

The residential option includes all meals and five nights in residence, Sunday through Thursday.

About ActivityScoop

ActivityScoop started as one Kingston parent doing what she apparently does best: reading every kids' activity website she could find and noting when sign-ups open. Eventually it made more sense to build the site we all wished existed — the inside scoop on kids' activities, programs and camps from Belleville to Brockville, from the big hockey associations to the studios you'd only hear about from a friend.

Browsing is free and you don't need an account. We don't take registrations or payments — when you're ready, we send you straight to the organization.

Facts, not reviews. No star ratings here, on purpose. Each listing carries "Good to know" — short, practical, checkable notes: how fast a program filled last year, what kids should wear, which fees are in the fine print. Parents contribute through specific questions (never a blank review box), and a real person reads every note before it publishes.
A note on accuracy. We check listings regularly and show a "last verified" date on each one, but details can change on short notice — always confirm with the provider. Spot something out of date? Every listing has a "suggest an edit" link.

Kindness, please. This site is run by one busy Kingston parent in the gaps of family life — not a company with a support desk. The whole point is to give us all a little time back: fewer late-night website hunts, more time with our kids, maybe even a coffee that's still hot. So when something's wrong (it will be, sometimes), a quick friendly "suggest an edit" fixes it for every parent who comes after you. Kind notes are what keep a small community project like this alive.

Privacy, in plain words

ActivityScoop is a directory you read, not a service you sign up for. No accounts, no profiles — and the little data we do handle is listed below, all of it. Last updated: August 1, 2026.

What stays on your device

If you use the age filter ("only want what fits your kids?"), those ages are saved in your own browser and never sent to us. Same for your saved list — the hearts live on your device, not with us. Clearing your browser data clears both.

Counting visits — only if you say yes

We ask first: a one-time choice at the bottom of your screen. Say yes and a visit-counting service tallies which pages get read, which activities parents look for, roughly which towns visitors browse from. It's statistics, not identities: no names, and addresses are anonymized. Say no and nothing is counted; the site works exactly the same. Change your mind anytime with "Cookie choice" in the footer.

The Sunday brief

Signing up stores exactly one thing — your email address — with the service that sends the Sunday brief on our behalf. You confirm by email first (that's the law in Canada, and also just polite), every issue has a one-click unsubscribe, and the list is never sold, rented, or shared. Ever.

Notes and suggestions you send

When you suggest an organization, report a fix, or leave a note for the next parent, we receive what you typed — plus your name or email if the form asked for it. A real person reads it and uses it to improve the listing, and that's the whole journey. Published parent notes never include contact details.

What we may share

Aggregate, anonymous statistics — things like "swim listings were viewed 400 times in July." Numbers like these may appear in reports or be shared with the organizations and sponsors that keep the site free for parents. They're about pages, never about people: nothing in them can identify you or your kids.

We never sell personal information. Not your email, not what you send us, not anything that identifies a person. This isn't a "currently" — it's the rule.
No profiles behind your back. Ages you filter by stay in your own browser, and nothing on this site quietly gathers information about your kids. If optional parent accounts ever arrive — for sign-up alerts, say — any child profile will be one you create yourself, visible only to you, and deletable in one click.
No tracking ads. No ad networks, no retargeting pixels, no "we noticed you looked at soccer."

Who touches the data

A few outside services do the plumbing — one hosts the site and receives what you type into forms, one holds the newsletter list, one counts visits (and only after you say yes). Each sees just what its job requires, and we keep no servers or databases of our own. Some of these services are based outside Canada, so data may be processed in the United States. ActivityScoop is a free directory made by a Kingston parent, for Kingston parents. Using it means agreeing to the commonsense rules below. Last updated: August 6, 2026.

What this site is (and isn't)

We list kids' activities across Kingston & area and the dates that matter, then link you to each provider's own website to register. We never handle registrations, payments or waitlists — all of that happens directly with the provider, on their terms. We're independent: not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any organization listed here. Provider names and logos belong to their owners; we show them so parents can recognize who's who. Any provider can claim their listing, correct it, or ask us to remove it — hello@activityscoop.ca.

About accuracy

We check provider websites on a regular schedule and stamp every listing with a "last verified" date — but details change on the provider's side without warning, and sometimes faster than we can catch. So the site is offered as-is: always confirm with the provider before making plans or paying anyone. If something here is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it for every parent who comes after you — but decisions you make based on a listing are between you and the provider, and we can't accept responsibility for their programs, prices, schedules, cancellations, or anything that happens at an activity.

Using what's here

Browse, search, filter, save hearts, share links — it's free for families and always will be. Send a program page to every parent you know; that's the point.

What's not okay is copying the site itself. The descriptions, tips and guides are our original writing, and the collection as a whole — which programs are listed, how they're described, organized and verified — is ours too: © activityscoop.ca. Copying listings in bulk, scraping the site with automated tools, or republishing our writing or our data on another website, app or service isn't permitted without written permission.
